Momo Coure - The Saga Continues

by Alexus Devon

If one wants to know what committed effort, consistent hard work and creative entrepreneurship can lead to then one need not look beyond Momo Corse. Started initially as the wheel manufacturer of racing cars, it today is probably the biggest manufacturer of car accessories in the entire UK.

It all started when unique and special types of steering wheels were made for racing cars. The tyres of these cars were smaller than the ones in vogue then. One thing, however, that made the whole experiment unique and extremely productive was the hand grip - a large grip which gave superior control over car, thereby ensuring smooth drive.

It took a little time for the world to notice this novel experiment of Momo Corses. But when it did, the response was phenomenal. Even the most celebrated of Formula One drivers, John Surtees, tried it on his single-seater race car. It brought him instant success resulting in his victory in the Formula One championship.

It was this outstanding success that gave confidence to the management at Momo Corse that they can widen their horizon; and if their planning was up to the task then there was no reason why they would not be able to replicate the grand success of their earlier venture. This is exactly what happened and Momo Corse became a rage in the field of car accessories.

Momo Corse is a glowing example that if one wants to succeed then merely preparing a good product is not sufficient. What is needed is very close coordination between different departments of the outfit from research to design to technology, to finally marketing of the product.
